Data Deletion Instructions

You control your data. AI Content OS lets you request the deletion of the information we hold about you at any time, for any reason, without cost and without penalty. This page walks you through when and how to submit a deletion request, what will be removed, and how we confirm that the deletion has been completed.

Because the Service reads and publishes data through your connected Facebook, Instagram, and Threads accounts, requesting deletion from AI Content OS also covers the data we obtained from those platforms. We have included step-by-step instructions for each platform below, including how to revoke access directly through Meta's own settings.

You may request data deletion for any reason, including:

• You no longer use the Service and want your account and content removed.
• You want to exercise your right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR (the “right to be forgotten”).
• You want to exercise your deletion rights under the CCPA and other consumer privacy laws.
• You believe your data was collected without proper authorization or is being processed for purposes you no longer consent to.
• You connected a platform by mistake and want AI Content OS to stop accessing it and remove the associated data.

When we process a deletion request, we permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize the following categories of data:

• Account information: your name, email address, password hash, and profile preferences.
• Content data: your drafts, posts, captions, hashtags, media files, brand guidelines, and publishing schedules.
• AI configuration: your API keys and AI provider credentials, which are destroyed and can no longer be used.
• Platform data: profile information, pages, media, and performance insights we received from Facebook, Instagram, and Threads.
• Usage and analytics data: logs, interaction records, and derived analytics tied to your account.
• Connected accounts:all authorizations to publish on your behalf are revoked through each platform's API.

Some information may be retained after your request, solely where required by law or for legitimate security purposes:

• Legal and regulatory records: information we are required to retain under applicable law, such as tax records related to billing, which are kept for the period required by law (typically up to 7 years).
• Fraud and security monitoring: limited technical records (such as IP addresses and device identifiers) may be kept for up to 12 months to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents involving your account. These records do not include your content.
• Backups: copies of deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after processing, after which they are purged. Backup data is never used and is secured to the same standards as live data.
• Anonymized data: aggregated, de-identified statistics (for example, platform usage trends) may be retained and used indefinitely. This data cannot be linked back to you.

Retained data is never used to restore your account, resume publishing, or market to you. It is held only for the specific reasons and durations described above.

1. 1Compose an email from the address associated with your AI Content OS account.
2. 2Send it to privacy@aicontentos.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
3. 3In the body, include your account email address (and your full name if your account uses Facebook Login) so we can accurately match your request.
4. 4Optionally, disconnecting your platforms from the Platforms page beforehand. This stops publishing immediately and accelerates processing, but is not required.
5. 5We verify your identity using a confirmation email, then process your request. You will receive written confirmation when the deletion is complete (see Confirmation Process).

• Acknowledgement: you will receive an acknowledgement email within 2 business days of your request.
• Verification: we verify your identity (usually the same day). If we cannot identify you, we will ask for more information.
• Processing: deletion is completed within 30 days of verified receipt, the maximum allowed under the GDPR and CCPA. In practice most requests are completed within 5 business days.
• Backup purge: residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within an additional 30 days.
• If we cannot complete on time: we will notify you with the reason and an estimated timeline before the 30-day deadline expires.

We confirm every deletion in two stages so you always know where your request stands:

• Acknowledgement: within 2 business days of submitting your request, we email you to confirm receipt and collect any additional details needed to verify your identity.
• Completion: when the deletion has been processed, we send a final confirmation email detailing exactly what was deleted, confirming that your connected Facebook, Instagram, and Threads accounts were disconnected, and noting any limited data retained for legal or security reasons.
• Verification of retention: if any data is retained, the confirmation lists the categories and the retention period, so you can verify us against the Data That May Be Retained section.

The deletion process above removes your data. If you also want your account closed entirely, the same request accomplishes it:

2. 2Confirm you want your account closed as well as your data deleted.
3. 3After identity verification, we close your account, disable your login, revoke all platform integrations, and delete the data described in What Data Is Deleted.
4. 4You receive a completion confirmation within 30 days. Backups are purged within a further 30 days.

Once closed, the account cannot be restored and previously scheduled posts will not be published. If you are on a paid plan (once paid plans are available), any prepaid, unused-for-period balance will be refunded pro rata in accordance with our payment terms.
